The Comms Avenue, a capacity-building and networking platform for communications professionals across Africa and beyond, has commenced the seventh batch of its highly anticipated pan-African Comms Mentoring Programme (CMP).
Launched in 2020, the CMP was designed to bridge the mentorship gap between seasoned and younger professionals in the African communications industry. Through six batches, the programme has empowered over 250 mentees by pairing them with accomplished mentors for personalised coaching and career guidance.
After a rigorous selection process, 104 mentees from Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Gabon, Cameroon Somalia and Kenya will be mentored by 73 mentors from leading global and regional organisations. Mentees will also receive professional training through specialist workshops and career-development sessions.
